My name is deathbots. I was born in twitter.com, and am a citizen there. I make this declaration in support of my application for asylum and withholding of removal in the federated Mastodon network.

I can’t shake very strong, long-held opinion that ransomware of health care or other infrastructure must result in extradition within agreed time boundary. Failure to agree or meet deadline = international response, including kinetic, at highest levels. Why is it not this way?

I really like computers still. It's pretty great to know what you want to do at age 10. I don't know what to tell these kids about how to know what you want to be when you grow up. I'm not sure I made a decision.

Lucky me. Lucky you, too maybe.

Maybe luckier to choose computery work after having done something you didn't love, really.

Feeling thankful while procrastinating finishing a talk deck.

Not the first call for a return to web 1, which Fediverse definitely reminds me of. Thanks @lcamtuf https://lcamtuf.substack.com/p/an-ode-to-freelance-historians
An ode to freelance historians

History of nations is written by the victors. History of napkins is perhaps less so.

Long but ultimately a pretty rad day in and around Bespin down there.

I know the tech world is in a rough spot. Hang in there. Be good to yourself. Remind yourself about you, maybe ;)

There’s still time to sign up for my class on Advanced Memory Forensics at @BlueTeamCon hurry before it fills up!

Hey cools. I write code (recently Go, but not picky) for commercial security / IT companies with globally critical customers and I've been at direct service of the biggest. I just left a great crew @ a world-class vendor on good terms, LIFO.

Check mutuals and ask devs/CSE's/customers and any recognizable names I've worked with. I'm a sleeper publicly, but think they'd agree I'm a laser-shooting party barge at work, and can wear many hats happily at a tiny place.

I should land fine, but I've definitely got time for a zoom if you want to chat. If I'm not a good fit, I'll tell you right away and refer you someone I'd personally hire, otherwise a great recruiter, if that's useful.

Sorry to do a linkedin here. If you're like me, you read here way more.

Face blindness is nuts. It turns out that one major way people are differently recognizable to her is hair style / hairline. The other big one is glasses/no glasses. Apparently Tom Hanks and Bill Murray are similar in this way. Outside of that, someone needs an outlying defining feature like a pretty large nose.
One of my kiddos has fairly mild prosopagnosia, and before we knew that about her, she frequently confused Bill Murray and Tom Hanks whenever one or the other was on screen. I thought she was pulling my leg!
