For the first problem, they should add a portable way to prevent insomnia without resetting your spawn point. I don't have any immediate ideas other than a "sleeping bag" item which upon use will put your character to sleep on the ground, and doesn't set your spawn point. I could also get behind some kind of potion or wearable item as well.
In terms of the Phantom itself, their health should just straight up be halved (10 hearts -> 5 hearts). I don't care that they're tiny, flying creatures as long as I can one-shot them.
Phantoms in Minecraft are horrible because sleeping is inconvenient, and phantoms are annoying.
Beds reset your spawn point, so you only want to use them at your home. You can't bring a bed with you for long journeys, because if you sleep away from home, and then break it in order to continue bringing it with you, your spawn will be reset to world spawn.
Don't get me started on the Phantom mob themselves. They're flying, fast, and tiny, making them annoying to shoot down (if you even have a bow on you!). They're only within melee range for a split second, so you only have one chance to hit them because of attack cooldowns, and they typically take multiple hits to kill since they have a full 10 hearts of HP.
I love using a paper shredder. I’m addicted to watching it work. Sometimes I don’t even shred documents that are confidential. For fun, I’ll just print out things just so I can put it through the shredder and look at it. I’ve signed up to hundreds of credit cards, only to cancel them immediately, just so I can shred them, watching the plastic splinter as it goes through the jaws of the shredder.
In my next life, I want to wake up as a shredder so I can enjoy eating paper and plastic and ink. Nothing is better than watching a shredder work.
Oh and completely forgot to mention, I've also replaced Google Search with Kagi! I tried to use DDG for a while but it was just not as good as Google, and they entered into weird data agreements with Bing.
Kagi has not only been better than Google OOTB for me, but I can even further personalize it by boosting sites I like up, and pushing sites I don't like down! Very nice.
I think another big hurdle for me though is going to be Google Maps. I just don't quite know what to do about that :/
I think I've been doing a relatively good job degoogling myself recently! I've been slowly moving my email from GMail to StartMail (!!!). My passwords are now in Bitwarden, I'm no longer using Pixel Launcher (although my phone is still a Pixel, planning to move to FairPhone in the future).
I think next big move might be Google Photos?
