I think my next project will be to invent a "zone of silence" device to be installed at coffee shops everywhere to cancel out cell phone users. Perhaps a kickstarter is in my future.

John AravosisI was just chatting with a friend about this, and we were both saying that we’re not even Jewish and the recent mainstreaming of antisemitism in the Republican Party, from Trump to Kanye to the GOP House to Musk’s flirtations with the far right — are absolutely chilling.
@cindyweinstein I’m about 1/3 of the way through _Finding the Right Words_ The book is helpful and a bit terrifying in a way. My paternal grandfather died of what we believe to be Alzheimer’s but he was elderly and never understood what was happening. Unlike your father and my grandfather, my brother knows what the future looks like. I don’t know which is worse.
On a lighter note, have you read _In the Heart of the Sea_ by Nathaniel Philbrick?

@tadeubanzato I was not aware of how much the yellow jersey has been co-opted. Thank you for informing me. I still haven’t forgiven Serbia for what happened in the Balkans in the 90’s, especially in Bosnia. It was an earlier infection of the same disease.
