We’ve been joking about “the year of Linux on the desktop” for three decades now, but it really does feel like the stars are aligned for 2026 to be that year. For it to finally grab a non-niche marketshare in the desktop/laptop computer market.
One of the best things about being a homeowner is that you get to fix all kinds of random shit.
It's really interesting to understand the engineering behind common things you may have otherwise never thought about. Fixing real, physical things makes our monkey brains feel good.
Enough is enough. After work today I am cancelling all except one streaming service in this house and we are just going to rotate that one service around.
