As an ordinary user, should I be planning to migrate my mobile devices to LineageOS or GrapheneOS? As an active stylus user, I'd have to give up my S22 Ultra and get an Moto G Stylus on LineageOS and trade my Tab S9 for a Pixel Tablet (GrapheneOS). Any comments or suggestions welcome.
gokayburucGoogle will require all apps on certified Android devices, including sideloaded ones, to come from verified developers starting March 2026. Developers view this as a power grab and launched the "Keep Android Open" movement. Enforcement begins September 2026 in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, with more regions later.

Any progress in getting Android tablets supported as "linked devices" on Signal? With recent arrest of Telegram CEO, I am revisiting messaging options and it is clear that Signal is our last, best hope for truly private, ad-free messaging.

Allow Android / iOS devices (e.g. tablets, but also phones) to be linked to the primary device, i.e. used as secondary device like the Desktop app
We’re gonna get yelled at for talking too much about Molly, but yeah, their “staging” app does not use Signal’s production servers. Also, their “unified push” uses a different push notification system.
