Not that I really expected anything different, but *sigh*
So the lame duck omnibus Immigration deal was supposed to be a bunch of new enforcement money and title 42 in exchange for an expanded DACA with path to LPR plus a bunch of other fixes.
After intense negotiations the dems have exchanged a bunch of new enforcement money for... nothing.
And title 42 was frozen in place by SCOTUS.
Cool.
Whoo boy. First loose tooth and its so loose we might see the tooth fairy before Santa. This is the funnest part of dadding.
I have reached the phase of The Big Lie of parenting where I have to resort to explaining away the fact that mall santas vary in appearance because "sometimes people help santa out by dressing like him cause santa is fast but cant be in two places at once."
If I make the magic last through this season it'll be by the skin of my teeth. She is just too analytical.

One thing that you have to wonder is whether elon petulently pulled the plug on spaces cause it was making him look impotent (probably), or whether it just crashed cause they fired all the engineers and it was finally hosting something people were interested in attending (also highly plausible).
One good thing about moving on from Twitter is I dont have to wait anymore for this guy who created an account in 2011 and never tweeted again to give up the non-number version of my name handle
Its obviously even worse for people waiting years for finality in their IJ grants because DHS appealed and wont drop it. Kids will age out of 730 eligibility and lose their own lifeline to safety.
