Just found this picture of me on my Uncle Bill’s ranch circa 1970. He was a Shoshone Indian who taught me what little I know of traditional practices. He raised buffalo, one of the primary foods of the NW band of Shoshone, who were hunters and trappers. This was near Idaho Falls.

Anybody else find it ironic that the star of The Handmaids Tale belongs to a cult in real life?

I love this image! It looks just like me. And I love my eyes, that I got from my Native mother. They’re down turned and a bit sad. But I’m ok with that. I had a rough early life and I’m forever affected by that. It’s part of who I am. My trauma has made me who I am, and I love who I am.
