I see it so often misspelled that my fastidiousness brought me here to simply state: it is Mastodon, not Mastadon. š
If anyone knows Aaron Rupar's Fediverse account, please share it. I knowābecause I found it on searchesāthat he installed the Mastodon client on his phone, but didn't know which instance to pick. Haven't found anything else.
It looks like the Official Mastodon app might be broken. It worked yesterday, but today doesnāt let me go to timeline, and instead it presents me with a screen to find friends which I canāt find a way to close. I can publish, but canāt see the timeline. A known bug, @Gargron?
I want to see the Fediverse be like SMTP: do one thing relatively well, simple, and everlasting.
Metatext is amazing. And it is free! And it is seeking maintainers. If you know anyone who could carry on this torch, please send them to [email protected].
What causes these hideous āshow moreā on posts? I would understand if the posts were immensely long, but I have seeing a post with a sentence, the huge show more, and then another sentence afterwards. It makes no sense.
MetabolistUnfortunately I have to stop actively working on #Metatext for a while due to health issues. I really wish I could implement Mastodon 4 features and squash every bug, but it's not possible for me to do so right now.
I know the app has become important to a lot people, so I'm open to a new maintainer who can carry on its values of privacy and accessibility taking it over if there's interest and a fit. Email [email protected] if you (or your organization) are interested
