It's **super niche** but I'll share anyway:

incase you care about a specific image for pinterest pins

and that image is not going to be shown on usual website page views.

You need a combo of display none on a parent tag AND loading="lazy" on the img tag.

🎉 I'm celebrating a mini win.

1️⃣ by monitoring my website's co2e emissions I discovered some issues and actions to take.

2️⃣ The bigest positive impact was to add the loading="lazy" #html attribute. It has 92% browser support, and graceful fallback.

3️⃣ Similarly srcset was an easy win. It helps browsers know which is is the best size image to download from a cdn/server.

😎 I got an initial page size down from 5MB to 1.6MB.

BTW if you use #nextjs then next/image will assist with these attrs 😇
