@scrin Wait, so you can move server AND import your posts from the old server? (unlike on Mastodon)
@athyrium @I I think the mobile interface is actually quite nice - it has all the same features; though things like Deck view and workspaces wouldn't be as useful. It just feels like you need to learn it all on desktop first, set up antennas etc.

People seem to be a lot more mobile-first than old dudes like me, so I suspect a lot will bounce off FireFish because of it.
@athyrium Yeah, it feels like it would be. Not even sure how you'd find it all on mobile 😃
Some early #FireFish impressions after being a user for a whole two hours.

- I don't think the initial onboarding conveys quite how flexible and configurable everything can be. It feels like an empty and slightly weird social network at first blush.
- There's an overwhelming amount of "stuff" - Antennas, Pages, Groups, Channels, Workspaces - none of which is particularly well explained.
- However... if you persevere, and play around for a while, it begins to feel like a poweruser's dream application. The configurability of the columns and workspace is superb, way beyond Tweetdeck or Mastodon.
- I like the idea of Antennas, would also like to be able to follow hashtags like normal users. The number of Antennas you can create is limited, and I tend to follow a lot of hashtags.
- The theme selection, out of the box, is gorgeous! Difficult to pick a favourite, and I haven't even looked at the custom ones.
- The PWA mobile app is similarly gorgeous, at first glance.
- To kickstart my feeds, I exported my users from Mastodon and imported them into FireFish... which set off notions in my mind of using FireFish as an interface onto Mastodon. Any disadvantage in doing this?

I'm overall quite positive about what I've seen so far. As an information junkie, being able to configure my various interests into columns and workspaces is very compelling.
