Haha. I didn’t even notice until just before boarding that I had seat 61. #IYKYK

Polly has been very _bad_ recently (as usual). She never stops eating and is massive.

She also goes berserk every morning and runs up the curtains or attacks the hamster. The other day Ruth was cleaning Perkins out and Polly kept getting in the bottom of the cage (which is identical to her litter tray). So Ruth put the cage on her and took a photo of her with Perkins on top of the cage.

I’ve been running a project this week for Y10 work experience, not something I’ve ever done before. This is what they came up with, designed and built from scratch from foamboard and 3D printed parts. It has a brushless generator.
When it’s a day like today and you’re listening to Bob Harris’s Sounds of the 70s on the way home from work in your electric VW bus, waiting for trains is no problem.
I’ve replaced the frame on our Ikea Poäng chair because the fabric on the base gave up the ghost. Interesting to note the design changes to make it cheaper to manufacture but harder to put together. All the horizontal slats used to come glued in, now you have to screw them together (12 screws in total). They’ve also replaced the screws at the front of the seat (which used to come loose) with free moving steel dowels.

Dear all, we are somewhere in the Peak District. The weather was OK today but is usually horrible. So far we’ve had rain, hail, snow and wind. The wind is very strong and means that you have to pedal down 1 in 10 gradients and get blown over by passing lorries. So far we’ve been to Richmond, Grinton (Swaledale), Aysgarth (Wensleydale), Kettlewell, Skipton, Haworth, Hebden Bridge, various horrible Lancashire towns and Stalybridge. On Friday it rained all day. Today we went along the Rochdale canal (towpath) which took a long time because you’re not supposed to cycle on it.

I took these photos of the Humber bridge this morning. They are both in colour but have hardly any discernible colour to them.

Had the day off, replaced the fan in the cooker hood, so I’m kicking off my birthday weekend with Bigger House 8% vanilla stout.
