In the week Artemis arrived at the moon, let us not forget this haunting song from Les Baxter and Dr Samuel Hoffman, 75 years ago. Neil Armstrong later played it on a cassette on the Apollo 11 journey in 1969. Best Theremin record of the last 100 years! https://youtu.be/woHckr1qLYQ

In the week that Artemis arrived at the moon - sending back an amazing image of earth, let us not forget the haunting sounds of Les Baxter, Harry Revel and Dr Samuel Hoffman from 75 years ago. Neil Armstrong played this song on the Apollo 11 return journey in 1969. Thee theremin record of the century! https://youtu.be/woHckr1qLYQ

Unsung albums of yesteryear Pt 1….

HOLGER HILLER - EIN BÜNDEL FÄULNIS IN DER GRUBE

Released in 1984 but recorded throughout the duration of 1983, the album was created mainly with an emulator but augmented by drums and bass guitar.

Doyen of the german avant garde during the early 1980s, Holger Hiller was one of the orginal members of the cult group, Palais Schaumberg

Been listening to #iancarr today - Belladonna from 1972. Very electric #milesdavis style trumpet with echo/ reverb but in a polite British way - laid back, stoned, washes of keys plus the occasional acid funk track. Recommended
