My boss publicly announced his boss's boss was fired for performance issues and he told me on a brief meeting that my work was "quite honestly pathetic" lately, among other bad stuff. I don't normally publicly talk about the specifics of my work but things have been really crossing the line into toxic lately and I'm going to leave in a couple of months regardless for my mental health.

@tilton Besides stealing everyone's content the major danger I see is that they're actually really good at basic bullshit work - boilerplate, summaries, prototyping, etc. that would normally be work reserved for people new to fields. It's gonna screw young people and anyone wanting to change fields into something really impacted by it, and why try to learn some new creative thing for fun if I can just ask the parlor trick machine to crank something out better than I could make as a novice?
