What are the most likely theories for what is inside Area 51. No crazy conspiracy theories, actual grounded theories that are probable or likely.

I love Language Models! (ChatGPT & Gemini) - sh.itjust.works

Not an advertisement I swear, but I honestly love language models, I specifically use Chat GPT and Gemini ALL the time. I’m someone who loves research and learning. I always have questions on all sorts of things. Before GPT I would be googling things for hours each day, visiting forums, watching YouTube videos, etc. Now with GPT I can ask so many questions on things I am curious about, and even ask follow up questions or ask for more in depth explanations. I think I am also a bit ADHD and so my brain is always jumping around different topics which makes me curious on specific things. My latest is insects, specifically wasps. I absolutely hate bugs, and wasps are the worst. But I am now learning more and more how important a lot of bugs actually are to the ecosystem. It’s really a great way to learn and engage with topics when you can ask follow up questions or ask for more details on specific aspects. TLDR: GPT has replaced 90% of my research that Google used to be. Important Note: Please be aware language models can be innacurate and prone to mistakes, so always verify the data from other sources if you need accurate information and not just general knowledge.

Should I glue my SIM card tray shut? - sh.itjust.works

I know it’s an odd question, but where I live phones get stolen often. My phone doesn’t have the option for an eSim, which is a problem because 90% of the time when a thief steals a phone they take out the SIM card immediately, meaning I wouldn’t be able to remotely lock or wipe my phone. Should I consider glueing the SIM tray shut? Or are there alternative less permanent measures I can take to keep my device secure?

Question: 3rd Party App Request - sh.itjust.works

As per title, I’d like to know if there are any third party apps worth it still? I’d ideally like a web app that scrapes the shit out of Reddit causing more harm than good. Anything like that available? (Even if it’s a website that scrapes I’ll be happy)

Is there an app for Reddit I can use? - sh.itjust.works

With the loss of Apollo, I’ve lost quite a few niche communities I’d like to still be a apart of. I still use Reddit on the web with ublock but I’d like to know if there is an app or web app I can use? Preferable something that scrapes their site so hard it causes problems on Reddits end. If I’m going to use the site still I’d like to know that I’m not doing them any favours.

My App Icon submission - sh.itjust.works

I don’t have any software on my phone to round corners so please excuse the square. The fediverse is a vast and beautiful place, just like our universe. I think our app icon should go deeper and represent more than just a simple spaceship or a mouse.

What is gorbitaska? - sh.itjust.works

I read a post about it but the post was deleted and I can’t find anything on google. What I gathered from the post before deletion was its some kind of religious thing but it scares most people?

What action are we taking to protect against spam? - sh.itjust.works

As the title says, lemm.ee [http://lemm.ee] is defederating instances that are allowing thousands of spam bots to be created on them. Will we be taking similar action? What is the game plan here?

What will happen to Brave browser after the manifest change? - sh.itjust.works

I’ve read some things online about it all but I’m not a total IT boff. Is it really true that Brave browser won’t be able to block ads once the changes are made next year? Ps. I use Firefox with uBlock but my SO and most of my clients absolutely love Brave
