Look at actual medieval/early Renaissance tapestries. People in them wear red, green, blue, yellow, pink, etc. They aren't grimly dressed in all black.
I'm still impressed how Saihate no Paladin managed to have a dragon that's both genuinely intimidating/scary and also makes sense as a character. The aesthetic choices really push it over the edge of just big/scary/strong to disturbing.
This better captured the Scalise shooting stuff better than any mainstream political commentary, 100% by accident
