I wrote a script to have our SOAR platform self-document by using its own API to iterate over all its own configuration and scripts and dump them into a series of wiki pages. Very slick and allows non-techy people to view changes by just looking at the edit history of the pages.

Only trouble is, the script couldn't ever dump itself. So much for self-documenting!

I figured it out today; the script contains strings with wiki markup in it to make the scripts display nicely.

The unexpected markup in the middle makes the wiki's parser flip the hell out and fail the change attempt.

Using my janky red-team skills I rewrote those parts of the script so the offending markup syntax would no longer be in plaintext.

Gotta hand it to the folks at Hallmark. Not only does it look just like the leg lamp from the movie, but it is made of some super glue-repellant substance so when it falls off your tree and breaks, you won't be able to glue it back together again.

Let's hope 3M ceramic adhesive pulls off an Xmas miracle.
