This goober is a 16-year-old pup that struggles to get around. Yet when we were all upstairs getting the little one to bed he decided to knock over the gate we have at the bottom of the stairs and climb them so he could be with us. Thank goodness he didn't fall but man was he determined apparently 😭 #dogsofmastodon

I've been pretty offline lately as SO much has been going on.
- Left my old job
- Moved my daughter's playroom so I could take over the den on the first floor for my office (so much painting which I hate)
- Started my new job! So very excited about this new challenge (profile here is updated and slowly working on it elsewhere)
- Attended the Women in Tech SEO Fest

In the furious painting stage, I went a couple of days without even knowing about the helpful content update haha! #seo

Surprisingly his glucose and ketones were good. Still waiting on the blood work though. They did an X-ray of his back and that looked okay although he definitely showed pain when doing some manipulation. Thinking a slipped disc (would need an MRI to confirm but not going that route yet since he started walking on his own again). So steroids, painkillers & muscle relaxers. Worried how the steroids will impact his insulin but the doctor said probably not any worse than his Cushings already does 🫤

This guy has been struggling a lot lately with his diabetes and Cushings. Major muscle weakness again which is where this all began almost a year ago now. Won't settle or sleep either. Got him scheduled for the vet to check his glucose and cortisol levels again. See if even higher doses will do anything or not. Don't know if we have a whole lot more time with him 😥 #dogsogmastodon
