I'm glad that people are discovering "Person of Interest" now on Netflix. Aside from being an amazing show, that is where I discovered Winston Duke. His performance in his debut episode took my breath away.
Project Hail Mary works. Sandra Hüller for best supporting actress. Ryan Gosling for best actor with a puppet.
The Rookie is copaganda, but clearly the showrunners and writers grapple with that. A police force of majority POC (majority WOC!), there for the right reasons is a fantasy but an aspirational one. (And I'm still not over casting Brandon Routh as a racist cop!)

Firefly ended. I watched it as it aired then rewatched with Lori on DVDs mailed by Netflix. We saw a sneak preview of the movie and it was over.

For me it was of a particular era, our early marriage, and I remember it fondly but I can't go back. We're not those people anymore.

I bought an xteink x4 and I love it and it's all Jenn's fault.
I identified as a morning person most of my life. Bed time was imposed, then morning violin practice was best, then 5am departure to get to work in under an hour. After working remote for 12 years I've discovered I am a night person who was really suffering all those years.
I'm uncomfortable asking friends questions with any specificity. I'm not owed answers; it feels presumptuous. (I'm uncomfortable calling people "friends", to presume they see me as one.) Instead I state hopes; "I hope you're well." Maybe I seem uninterested. I'm working on this.
This is beautiful and describes my general approach to all tools. I've been skint and always skinflint, I underspend on tools I force to over-perform, making up in time and ingenuity what I lack in deep pockets.

The MacBook Neo is such an interesting machine that it coaxed a thousand-word-essay out of me: https://samhenri.gold/blog/20260312-this-is-not-the-computer-for-you/

The Bride! doesn't try to make logical sense. It's positively Lynchian at points. And all the men in it are monsters. (Yes I'm still on The Bride!)
The Bride! is like 14 year old Maggie Gyllenhaal imagined a mashup of every Frankenstein movie. It should be a double-feature with "Wuthering Heights". I mean that in the best possible way.
