@davidpb i switched to coir 2 years ago. It's been mostly great. My only issue has been with the houseplants I have it in. I use a combo of coir,sand,worm castings, and perlite. After a few months they start to become nitrogen deficient (i suspect from the coir degrading). Mixing in some feather meal seems to have solved the issue though
