Thanks to @luka for offering to pick up the instance. We are transferring everything this week and so I'm happy to report the instance will NOT shut down.

I don’t have time to give this instance the love it deserves. Would anyone be interested in taking over djs.social as admin?

Server cost is €24 per month. Nothing crazy. Just need love and care…

@glitchdj @nanode @Newton The instance is hosted on toot.io so there is nothing to do on the hosting side. It's really just the time promoting the instance to make it grow that I don't have.

@damien There are only 13 users in this instance which is pretty low so just in case no one take over here there are some alternatives I recently found: https://sonomu.club, https://electronicmusic.social, https://gsg.live/ (Mastodon: https://soc.gsg.live/). I'll be happy to know about more alternatives.

No tech skills needed. Just $20 a month + price for the domain annually (not much either).

Hey guys. Unless someone steps up to take over the instance, it will shut down on Sept 30th 2023. You have plenty of time to migrate your account in the meantime.

Hey all... So far nobody seems interested in taking over the instance. I've disabled new signups until we can figure out what the future looks like.

If some of you want to transfer their accounts over to another instance I totally understand.

There are only 18 accounts here and like I said in my previous message I don't really have the bandwidth to promote the instance more.

If I decide to close the instance I will give everyone at least 3 months notice.
