The problem with having a large proportion of journalists coming from liberal arts backgrounds is that you get absolutely wild statements like this from Matt Yglesias.
Great to host my old PI, Ajay Chitnis, for a seminar at @humantechnopole last Friday (followed by a nice Saturday walk alongside lake Como).
One of my legitimately favorite things about Milan is the metro system. In DC, if I missed a train, even during rush hour, it's a pain. Here? I just got to the platform as the train was pulling away and, no worries, the next one will be along in less than 2 minutes.
Moving to another country makes you grow. For example, I've gotten better at making asian food at home because SWEET MERCIFUL CHRIST ITALY YOU HAVE GOT TO RECRUIT SOME ASIAN PEOPLE TO COME LIVE HERE.
