Just some noob. (he/him)
On the advice of my dentist, I picked up a Sonicare electric toothbrush. Cheaper than I expected, but boy is it going to take some getting used to. It makes my teeth and lips tingle weirdly. And this is just on the training setting. Have any of you used one? How long did it take you to acclimate?
I wonder sometimes how comparative theologians feel about comic book mythos. Larger than life godlike characters, with story after story told of them in ways that can't possibly all be true, and the cults of readers who follow them? Did we just reinvent polytheism in four color pulp paper?
Too tired to stay up doing anything meaningful, too stubborn to want to go to bed. I didn't choose the doomscroll life, the doomscroll life chose me.
Replacing my water heater is coming with a heaping helping of sticker shock. Oof. The joys of home ownership, I guess. At least I'm replacing it *before* it becomes an emergency?

I is for indent, which rarely amuses, and
J is for join, which nobody uses.
K is for kill, which makes you the boss, while
L is for lex, which is missing from DOS.
M is for more, from which less was begot, and
N is for nice, which it really is not.
O is for od, which prints out things nice, while
P is for passwd, which reads in strings twice.
Q is for quota, a Berkeley-type fable, and
R is for ranlib, for sorting ar table.
S is for spell, which attempts to belittle, while
T is for true, which does very little.
U is for uniq, which is used after sort, and
V is for vi, which is hard to abort.
W is for whoami, which tells you your name, while
X is, well, X, of dubious fame.
Y is for yes, which makes an impression, and

But yeah, I'm pretty sure I know how I'd implement it technically. The hard part would be making it look and sound right. Foundry does a good job on that front, too. Pew pew!
Oh shit, I'm planning a space mod anyway. I can add my own orbital laser cannon!
Foundry may just have the most amazing terraforming tool I've encountered in a destructible voxel terrain game: an orbital laser cannon. It's not exactly a precision instrument, but it's highly effective at removing inconvenient mountain ranges, and extremely satisfying to use. Minecraft needs one.

Remember: life is short. Remind your loved ones that you care about them. Make some bad art. Treat yourself.

But also remember: life is long. Save when you can (I know, in this economy?). Build lasting friendships. Cultivate hobbies.

I stepped out of my comfort zone today to go to some dear friends' housewarming party, where I only knew a few of the people going. Glad I did. Met some nice folks, had some good conversations, but had to bail after two hours. I don't know if it's over-stimulation or masking, but I'm *exhausted*.
