@Orca @evacide you can send duress via sms too and I think in practice enforcement is nowhere near that competent. before it ever gets to a techie it passes through a bunch of beat cops.

@Orca @evacide very hard to prove you tampered with evidence if you had over a perfectly good phone and they input your password and it's nuked. good luck proving it wasn't their incompetence.

I used to do a 45-minute talk with lots of swearing about why infosec professionals are so bad at giving digital security/privacy advice and digital security training. My patience for bullshit has shrunk so much since then that it can only be detected by specialized scientific instruments.

same goes for passwords and in general everything. don't overload the user with responsibilities
