Currently waiting on a new timing cover, timing kit, and rear suspension strut tower stuff.
Also waiting on some wiring, and an oil pan with baffles and a new oil pickup line. Might do a new oil pump as well.
So some asshole tried to break into my storage unit recently. They didn’t get in but they murdered the lock. But it stayed secured to the hasp. That’s the important part I think.
I’m really loving how strong those cheap-ish abus padlocks are. I got the abus 64TI/40 model with steel shackles.
These were 22$ for a 3 pack of keyed alike locks.
Today I’m realizing I have a problem with how I handle pain and injuries. My day yesterday was as follows, with lots of creative ways use the word fuck interspersed.

> rock failed, slicing my hand up and crushing my ankle
> double check I can walk
> grab IFAK out of truck, pull gauze from kit and open it
> hastily rinse wound and wrap hand to stop the bleeding
> leave wilderness
First order of business after getting back to society yesterday afterward was “go get a fucking drink” then I went home and patched myself up properly.
I’m not sure if it comes from my time in the Marine Corps or if it’s from some other trauma or BS I’ve ended up in but fuck it’s weird to realize that how I handle things like this isn’t normal.
