Older series: The Sandman
I had put off reading The Sandman for decades because I thought I missed the boat and the cultural references would be stale. I was very dumb and wrong about these things, this is a timeless story about emotional turmoil, relationships, and self image. Absolute gorgeous book in every way.

What were your comics of the year? Something that came out this year and something older that you read.
Ongoing: Immortal X-Men
I was worried when Hickman left X-Men but this was the perfect follow up. Kieron Gillen writers interpersonal drama so well, and what is more dramatic than a bunch of campy villains and idealistic heroes all trying to outmaneuver each other.
