Ok, Mastodon is officially a lot more awesome than I had realised. There's a federated server for everyone who's really into bitcoin, and, yes, it is full of people who are as awful as you can imagine. But, with one click, you can block the entire domain! 12.8k thousand crypto weirdos filtered out in a click. Amazing.
A lot of Kickstarters got severely delayed deliveries over the pandemic, so when I get an email saying "We are doing the fulfillment for <company>, let us know if your address has changed" without mentioning what campaign that company was running, all i know is that I will soon get something I will enjoy and which I have forgotten I have ordered.
(My address haven't changed, I updated all non-delivered Kickstarters when I moved here a year and half ago.)
@Tho99 I have a mended drum user now. Do you happen to know of a how-to for migrating follows, followers, and posts?
@pdersjant Are you perchance using a tool that posts your entire Twitter RT history to Mastodon?
@Tho99 I seen to have gained an hour of life during the night, so I'd say it worked out really well.
When you have been doing work on a longship, then have a party in a longhouse with Viking friends, then leave to go you your mother-in-law.
Your mother-in-law, who happens to live in the part of town called Valhall...
My storytelling account on Twitter lost ~150 since yesterday, presumably because of the sale to Musk. To be clear, the follower count is always in flux, but the rate of change is usually an order of magnitude smaller.
In an hour and half, I'll embark on a 14-hour train journey. First a normal intercity to Stockholm, then a sleeper train to Östersund, to visit in-laws, see friends, help prepare a Viking longship and longhouse for winter, and attend a Viking party,
Then we'll return the same way on Monday, with an intercity and a sleeper, coming back on Tuesday morning.
I've got a rucksack full of snacks, an e-book, and a Nintendo 2DS. Looking forward to the train journeys in a way I never do to flights.
