anyway it's really a nice apartment i swear to god it's just that one day i'm gonna find the guy who did all these weird ass renovations and ask him a lot of questions. and also i would like my current landlord to reply to my texts

but then take the kitchen. the kitchen was added on to the building separately and does not appear to have been built by a licensed contractor (we suspect it's uninsulated!). it connects to the patio and backyard through a little shed (appropriately dubbed the "murder shed"). i cannot complain that much about the kitchen usually because it is huge but right now the ceiling is leaking because of melting snow

the previous owner of the building lived in this unit for many years and made a number of modifications and did a lot of DIY. some things are just kind of like... silly... like a lot of the light switches and door knobs are installed upside down
