@GNUDuffer It gets easier with practice, but I still prefer through hole. If you get some hot tweezers they will be your best friend.

@BryanLunduke F.U.C.K.W.I.T...

Your call, Bryan.

@BryanLunduke I want an original model m so bad. I've been hoping for a pawn shop find or something so I don't have to pay the outrageous ebay prices for one. I have turned my dad's house inside out looking for my childhood keyboard.
@Ghosty Don't forget to disable passwords and set up keys! (not in that order)
@ed1conf I caught my kid typing ls -l in bash. I am hip to the kids jive, so I know that translates to "Lemonade and street drugs, minus the lemonade".
@Linux I'm actually looking at Solus Budgie pretty hard. I've always been a Gnome2 guy, so I pretty much run MATE on everything, but Budgie looks pretty slick. I wouldn't mind getting back on a rolling release either. Time to fire up some VM's and waste a Saturday!
@BryanLunduke It does exist!
@keefo Something that I would have stolen in my misspent youth to rob the battery and motors out of.
Now I'd probably just mess with it to test the collision prevention software.
I wonder where it would go if you wrapped it in tinfoil? I wonder if it communicates on 915MHz like smart meters? Does it tx and rx with encryption, or could I take it over and repeatedly drive it into a trash can? If you flip it on it's back like a turtle, does it feel the impending doom as its battery slowly drains?
@hund This is relevant today for me. I just had to justify my keyboard purchase to my wife. Apparently if the part to fix the hot tub is $150, and you buy a $150 keyboard, it is the wrong decision. Whatever. I'm on the couch typing on absolute <velvet>. No regrets.
It's that time again. I have everything set up just how I want it, all the bugs are worked out, my workflow is exactly where I want it to be...
Why is now always the time when I feel like distro hopping?
