Hello!
BioSoftware engineer working for a big corp, just kind of tired all the time. Pacific Islander, originally from New Zealand, living in Melbourne's inner west. I like bread, coffee and tea, and my two animals.
Last year I saw Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge! The Musical and it was so so so sooo amazing. The songs, the dancing, the mind blowing set, the choreography... I can't believe I've been sleeping on theatre for so long.
Well I saw the Melbourne production of #Hamilton and I'm ready to make liking Hamilton my entire personality now
Did anyone else in Melbourne manage to get those 70 dollar Hamilton tickets? I'm ngl kinda stoked
Learnt yesterday that a group of lady beetles was called a loveliness 🐞🐞🐞🐞 💚
Brooooo.
My work is doing an internal conference and the speaker mentioned RUP (Rational Unified Process) as an example of a failed idea.
Immediately I was like, omg, RUP! I had to learn this as an example of work flows in uni!
I then realised I have heard about RUP in exactly zero other contexts and that this was probably not worth learning about.
I am now wondering what other useless stuff in uni I learnt about that is taking up valuable space in my brain?
I’ve only been on #mastodon for a couple of days now, but damn, it feels so much the Internet I grew up with. Gentle, well-intentioned and proudly nerdy. With nary an ad nor a sponsored post in sight. Long may it continue.
My current impression of Mastodon (as someone born in the very early 90s in a very geographically isolated country) is that it is like the internet back when nerds still got bullied and being into geeky stuff wasn't as cool as it is now
guess I'm just thankful for physiotherapists tbh

Never had a 2kg weight felt so heavy until a rotator cuff injury x_x bent over row with focus on scapular is deceptively difficult

plz pray for my shoulder to get better so I can get back to climbing and like, y'know, reaching for the snacks on the top shelf with my left hand 🤭
