There's a part of me that wants to build a self-hosted alternative to Google Drive because I'm not really satisfied with any of the existing FOSS cloud offerings.

There's another part of me that's staring at my giant pile of unfinished side projects and quietly screaming.

The more I read about Matter the more I hate it. If this is supposed to be the future of smart home connectivity then I don't want to do smart home stuff anymore.

2026 is the year of light bulb DRM I guess

The evil shitgoblin that lives in my head and hates me is telling me to deploy a kubernetes cluster on my NAS

I swear there's a significant inverse relationship between how simple a device's instruction manual says setup will be and how simple it actually is.

Case in point: I bought some bluetooth tracking tags for my phone that said "Just press the on button, and your phone will detect them automatically". My phone did not automatically detect them. No amount of factory resetting or button mashing made the devices work. I ended up returning them the same day I bought them.

@odoben wireless wired headphones
Throwing a `sudo systemctl restart bluetooth` at it sometimes fixes the problem
My favorite part about Bluetooth is how sometimes it just does not work and there's really no way to figure out why, just hope and pray that it fixes itself automagically at some point in the future.
My stupid headphones will auto shut off while I'm wearing them but will also stay powered up all night even when not connected to any devices.
Help! I've been turned into a scannable 2D barcode!
