I bought another jumper off ebay which is the same as the one I've had for 20 years which has just worn out in order to replace it.
More useful information is:
- Likes looking at trees, hills and little feathered guys, jackdaws more than most.
- Likes coffee, music, videogames, and quietly thinking about things then not telling anyone.
- Autistic son and partner and pretty well on the spectrum myself but IT ISN'T OFFICIAL so there.
First big step taken: new/reconditioned laptop arrived yesterday running Linux Mint. I have very simple needs when it comes to a laptop, and this far have found it really simple to use. Vivaldi browser and VLC media player all okay.
For the record, I used Linuxlounge.co.uk for sub-£200 reconditioned laptops pre installed with Linux. Working straight out of the box.
This week someone asked me if I was the office manager. I laughed and said no, but what I really should have said was "no, I'm still on the same pay grade I was ten years ago, it just so happens that I'm the oldest person here now".
Maybe I should start calling myself the office manager. Not that there is much to manage, though.
I've just had a great night out with my very bestest friends and had a great time and I wish it could have gone on for another five hours but alas we have to go to bed.
If this were facebook I'm sure I would have posted a number of tagged selfies, which is very unlike me. But it's Mastodon and none of them use it anyway and I honestly like the fact that I can't tag them and turn it into some weird social one-upmanship.
When I drive a long distance, most of what I see goes I to a weird brain stew and at the end of the day, as I am now, I mull over things glanced at the roadside, half remembered.
One thing particularly haunting me from today's drive through Lincolnshire was a sign which, I'm pretty sure, said "potato storage day", but in the same way you might see a school fete advertised.
