@developerjustin people need to go back to self hosted websites etc for this. We can not and should never rely on a private company or individual platforming us, it WILL bite us in the ass one way or another.

@gMoon @Mikal I will say, I feel like parts of that article come off as a little... whiny? Yes, decoupling from Amazon is difficult in the sense that AWS is a massive cloud service, esp in the US, and avoiding all the sites they host is a lot. Comparing that to "all my friends are on facebook :(" and "texting is hard" frankly seems a little ridiculous in comparison? Yes, megacorps have better infrastructure, leaving them means taking some extra steps, that's how we got here in the first place.

@SallyStrange @flexghost If one doesn't vote against fascism when given the option to, one chooses fascism. Any person who chooses fascism is, of course, to blame for it. Personally I wouldn't trust anyone who allowed Trump to get the power because of their principles, that's a weak excuse that will literally kill people.
@not2b @flexghost If they "can't bring themselves" to vote for Biden, why can they bring themselves to choose an even more fascist option? Does it make them feel better when the nazis are kicking down their doors, because at least they didn't vote for Biden?
@Wabbit @flexghost Soon you'll be able to add Sweden to the list; a LARGE portion of our (wildly underpaid) healthcare staff is non-Swedish and we have a fascist government puppeteered by nazis.
