My mum lives in Otepoti in Aotearoa, and I live in Naarm. I recently travelled home for a month to help my mum with a bunch of things she can't do herself.

I now do a weekly recipe share with my mum. We'll each try to make it, share the results, and talk about the experience. It connects us more and takes her mind off dad (a bit).

Last week we made a little couscous dish with dried fruit and nuts. Yesterday we made muhallabia, which I chilled overnight and ate just now. Delish!

For those who aren't aware, there is a major protest going on at FoxConn. Workers have left their dorms and fought off police, and the military is returning with tanks.
