What do you think of how bloated the web has become? I remember the days when the worst resource hog you had to worry about was Vista and now, it's not the OS that eats RAM, it's the browser. I got so much flack for saying "In the hay day of Flash, you could run with 2GB of RAM and you were good and now I sometimes crash with 10GB of RAM in the HTML5 era". I guess HTML5 is one of those Sacred Cows you talked about in Tech.

@quarktheawesome Bingo, you pretty much install Ubuntu without the GUI and maybe you could install something else on top of it like ICEWM or something.

@BryanLunduke What are your thoughts on hacking your way around planned obsolescence? People look at the iPhone X and sees it as the future, but I see a device I could get dirt cheap once people see it as worthless. I've thought of buying a near EOL iOS device, investing in creative apps that will do it's job like you could in theory still use Photoshop 7.0 today, jailbreak it, backup my purchases apps, sell it, and buy it again when it's dirt cheap. or do you see this as stupid as a hackintosh?
@BryanLunduke low blow, but Intel deserves it after saying Epyc was "glued together". I wake that glue as a badge of honour and be like "Hey Lisa Sue, I want more of that Infinity Glue".
@BryanLunduke Are you interested in the dual core PowerPC Amiga a1222 Motherboard? It could run Linux, but it's a shame PPC32 Linux is dying. :(
