@historydefined This reminds me of Sister Mary Kenneth Keller. This nun was the first woman to earn a PhD in computer science and co-authored a little language called BASIC.

@stux You know, I was thinking about this while thinking about the high number of people moving to Mastodon. Wasn't there a story a while back about Instagram knowing that their platform hurt young girl's body images? But they wouldn't do anything about it because the young girls stay engaged in the content that does that, and keeping users engaged is how Instagram makes it's bottom line. I'm so hoping for a more socially responsible web and social media to start blooming.

@itsfoss I tried Zorin OS for a while a long time ago and thought it was really nice! I was having some graphical glitches, so I ended up back on Ubuntu, but it was very pretty none-the-less.
