I have to say I am feeling pretty bummed out and defeated this week. Hopefully there will be some good news in the one upcoming.
I've published my first Ruby gem other people can use! It's called Rezy and it's a tool for generating a resume from YAML files. Give it a shot and contribute. It definitely needs more customizability and themes, but I'm really enjoying it so far. #ruby

Thinking of calling my resume building tool rezy? Once I change the name and make a gemspec, I think this version is good to go. This will actually be the first gem I’ve published 🙌
It’s crazy that I could tell if this was iPad or macOS at a glance.
https://mastodon.social/@stroughtonsmith/114723422558793415The fact that I’ve had the year I’ve had and I’m basically OK mentally is extremely good evidence for the effectiveness of Lexapro.
I’m unclear on why we continue to entertain something that is so obviously not going to happen.
I’m no expert, but how exactly would the US invade Iran? It’s surrounded by countries that would never allow staging an attack, and bordered by mountains on all sides. An amphibious attack through the Gulf of Oman puts you hundreds of miles from Tehran with more mountains and desert in between.
I love that Apple added the ability to pause fitness rings on Apple Watch. Otherwise the options were never have a recovery day or set your goal so low it’s basically useless and then also never have to travel or get sick.
So if I’m willing to make my own routes — which is fairly laborious— I think I’ll get most of the features of an official Apple Maps hike? It’s kind of crazy to me that in a city like Portland, someone hasn’t gone and done this work for me already. Oh and of course I can’t share my routes.
