Limits to Growth was right about collapse

The only question is whether we manage degrowth or just let it happen to us. This isn’t a neutral question. I know which one of these is worse.

I am not a conspiracy theorist and I KNOW I live in a privileged bubble, but goddamn it is hard to read paragraphs like this and not suspect some kind of shenanigans:
