My current work task - writing comments on the appalling Toondah Harbour development proposal EIS, is dominating my life right now.
The EIS is massive -5000 pages- so I've been reaching out to experts in various aspects of it (marine ecology, fisheries, restorations, offsets) and my gratitude at how great this community of #moretonbay #stewards is immense. But I'm also SO SADDENED by how many have said "thank you for doing this because I can't/wouldn't be permitted".
Scientists, businesses, whoever....we're too far down the track for this. Writing expert comment on an EIS isn't inherently "political" but you know what is? Letting the development-crazy status quo continue unchallenged

@pwik Definitely still time to stop it! The developer has released an environmental impact statement (EIS), and public comment is open until the 6th December.
Please do add your comments if you can...
It will utterly change the ecology and the nature of place ☹️

This morning in the internationally important #Ramsar Wetland Area of Moreton Bay. In this exact location (#ToondahHarbour), a wealthy developer wants to excise part of the Ramsar Site AND the #MoretonBay #MarinePark for 3600 apartments in multi-story apartment blocks, and a 400 berth marina. It's obscene ☹️

@krislicked oh gosh. It looks good to me? I do remember it being a bit complex (I haven't used it for a while) - in the end I started from scratch then added rules 1 at a time, based on notifications that came in when I didn't want them to, using the ability to create filters from recent notifications.

@krislicked try Filterbox! You can customise times for all your app notifications (work app notices only in work hours, socials notices only out of work hours etc).
It took me a while to figure out how to set it up, but worked perfectly
