One conflict between me and some people who follow me on social media: I think it's difficult to describe what Fox is, they think it's easy.
Propaganda. Entertainment. Angertainment. Pro Wrestling.
My current description of Fox:
The commercial arm of a right wing political movement, specializing in strategic resentment and aggregated grievance in the attention economy, while behind the scenes it tries to be a kingmaker and party boss, riding the tiger of manipulated rage.
If you’re catching snippets of CPAC on TV and asking yourself, “How on earth does a major party become such an obvious haven for shysters and crackpots?” read my recent piece on the four-decade death of the Republican mind.
So, I'm not kidding: Jordan Peterson is apparently upset that a paper towel brand is engaging in "wokeness" with their advertising.
I found this surprising because I was under the impression Peterson doesn't need paper towels. He seems pretty self-absorbed.
The Black Panthers were revolutionary, but not because they had Black leather jackets and berets and shotguns. They were revolutionary because they were armed with breakfast, and vaccines, and the truth.
They weren't revolutionary because they wanted to "kill white people." They didn't want to kill white people, not even the racist ones. They wanted white people, even the racist ones, to see that racism is a tool used to oppress all people.
