I'm bothered by the design of the UI of Mastodon. This input box on the left with all this negative space below it is just really distracting. The problem with open source is that people with design skills don't seem to like to spend their time contributing and you can really tell.

Well, saw @piebob posting about Mastodon so signed up on mastodon.cloud so I could get the bridge thing working. Reminds me of the app.net experience 5 years ago or so. Bigger messages, public timeline so you can see the firehose.
