A year without Roe. We're reflecting on the year past and preparing for the year ahead.

We invited B, a third-year law student from the University of Oregon and part of our summer law clerk program, to share their reflections as a former abortion provider turned future lawyer. When they're not studying civil rights law, you can find them making multi-media art, rockhounding, and snuggling with their dog.

We hope these shirts and hoodies will be a celebration of the work we've done alongside movements and clients. Like the shirt says, we've got your back. CLDC will be there to have your back as we defend what we love together!

Biscuit Forest Defense: 20 Years Later

Register at cldc.org/biscuit20

Join us on Thursday, May 4 at 3:00pm PT / 6:00pm ET. Please enter your email address to be registered for a reflective conversation with Biscuit forest defenders who worked to defend one of the most bio-diverse forests in the country. The George Bush Administration proposed the largest timber sale in modern history which resulted in a robust campaign and forest defense effort.

Lauren Regan, CLDC Executive Director and Senior Staff Attorney and forest defenders will share about their resistance, the lessons learned through their activism and legal fights, and how their participation in the campaign continues to impact them today.

20 Years Later, We STILL Have Your Back!

As we approach Earth Day we are clear that the earth needs defenders more than ever and the stakes are higher than ever. CLDC has had your backs for 20 years and we plan to keep it up until the need is no longer there.

From the fight to defend the earth to the movement for reproductive justice, we're here to embolden activists and frontline communities in their efforts by providing critical legal support, representation, and education.

Our organization was born from the environmental and animal rights movements, but we know that all struggles are interconnected and until ALL are free, no one is.
