This Pink Floyd thing sucks.

Saw Gilmour/Floyd in the 80s, and it was mediocre.

Saw Waters do The Wall at Yankee Stadium in the 00s, and it was incredible.

Saw Mason with a walk-on by Waters a few years ago, and it was mind blowing. But Waters' politics are unacceptable.

All that being said, Fat Old Sun, Green is the Colour, and Crumbling Land are arguably the best Floyd songs. So, kudos to Gilmour and his guitar.

It's all web based.

I wanted a screenshot from Zork last night and I couldn't find the one I wanted. So, I searched for Zork emulator, and sure enough they exist.

This is great. https://www.pcjs.org/software/pcx86/game/infocom/zork1/

PCjs offers a variety of online machine emulators written in JavaScript. Run DOS, Windows, OS/2 and other vintage PC applications in a web browser on your desktop computer, iPhone, or iPad. An assortment of microcomputers, minicomputers, terminals, programmable calculators, and arcade machines are also available, along with an archive of historical software and documentation.

It's funny how soon nostalgia sets in. My almost three year old keeps telling me about things she did as a "little baby." And true to nostalgia, most of the things she describes never happened.

So mastodon.social was under a DDoS attack.

@Gargron confirms this.

Someone out there doesn't like the Fediverse.

But also, if they thought that taking down mastodon.social would take down the Fediverse, then they were incredibly foolish!

The Fediverse is built on redundancies.

This isn't like Twitter where a Fail Whale would bring down the entire social network.

@TheStoryOutside88 Banning police unions is the most impactful reform I can think of that very few people talk about.
If I have to prove I'm not a computer by identifying traffic lights and busses, perhaps we're not quite ready for self-driving cars.

The cat just went over to the HomePod mini on my desk, meowed at it, and Siri said "sure here is some music for you" and the cat perched on the window sill listening to Garbage and Elliott Smith.

I just want to know how long this has been going on.
