While I list a few below, I believe they stem from the same underlying structural problem: an unprecedented concentration of power in the hands of those in Big Tech who want to deliberately enact (or, at least, are incapable of imagining anything other than) a techno-fascist future."
I co-signed the AI Hype open letter to the President of the European Commission.
"We call on Ursula von der Leyen to:
1. retract your statement on AI approaching human reasoning next year;
2. diligently evaluate other such marketing claims about AI products; and
3. ensure you have the benefit of the necessary impartial scientific advice in future."
