@atpfm for the latest neutral session. One of the recent changes to the Tesla software even confuses the braking paradigm more.

When the “additional” friction braking occurs, the pedal feels hard, like something is broken.

I will say, Tesla traction braking does IMO make the car safer, during the transition period when your foot is moving to the brake pedal for emergencies , it’s already slowing down due to traction braking.
