The Democrats also had the opportunity to institute universal healthcare in California, but purposely didn't:

I'm still struggling with it, but slowly getting the Mastodon concept. I was never able to join "mastodon.social" or "mastodon.online", but at least I got on. Now that they just let you-know-who back in, the birdy place looks like it's only one scene away from where the baseball bat starts swinging in The Shining.
