@godpod Not to dump cold water on this, but the issue with Fusion has always been the temperature required to sustain the fusion. Takes a lot of energy. When you subtract the energy needed from energy generated, still pretty inefficient. A lot of work needed to improve efficiency, make sustainable for continuous operation and scale to something that is equivalent to a current power plant. Maybe 20 - 30 years off…

@pkrugman glad to see you on Mastodon! Stopped using Twitter about a month ago and really missed your posts. One of the downsides of leaving Twitter is losing access to the people you enjoy following. Not everyone has or will make the transition. When your name popped up, it was like seeing a rainbow after a heavy rainstorm. Hope you stick with Mastodon and give it some time for your followers to find you!
