When I'm not doing graphics I'm watching fútbol.
f the U.S. defaults on June 1, the first payments it will miss will be military pay and retirement, Veteran's benefits and payments to Medicare providers. Here's all that's at risk, detailed day by day.

If the U.S. defaults, will it miss Medicare payments? What about Social Security? See what’s at risk.

A breach of the debt limit would be uncharted territory for the United States

How much would you cut from the national debt? Play our game

Cutting the national debt isn't easy. The U.S. inherited a debt of $31 trillion. Without any changes, it’s projected to grow to a whopping $52 trillion by the end of the next decade.

George Santos's website described him as a Wall St. financier whose family fled the Holocaust and mother escaped 9/11 and who also found time to rescue cats and dogs.
After he was elected, journalists discovered that most of his biography was untrue.

George Santos’s campaign site was edited to add or change details in his biography. Once his fabrications came to light, many details were removed altogether.

I got only one right on this quiz ('transgender') about which President was the first one to include a certain word in a SOTU. That's way below what I should have gotten just by luck.

Quiz: Which president introduced these words to the State of the Union?

Biden introduced “ironworkers” and “pistol” into State of the Union history in his 2023 address. Can you guess who was the first president to say these other words?

The map of snow winners and losers so far, by Tim Meko and Bonnie Berkowitz of course has DC (and almost the whole East Coast up to New England) as losers. West Texans have seen more snow than New Yorkers!

From snowy West to snow-starved East, a map of winter winners and losers

In this odd winter for U.S. snowfall, western peaks are loaded but New York and D.C. are nearly bare.

As the U.S. braces for an ice storm this week that will include Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and other southern states, the Post's graphics team built a fake metropolis to show how extreme cold could wreck cities not used to it.

This fake city shows how extreme cold impacts transportation and infrastructure

See how frigid temperatures and heavy snow can wreak havoc on everything from a city's hospitals and power grid to its rail and air transportation.

Great story by Luis Melgar, Azi Paybarah and Tyler Remmel looking at how George Santos' about me page in his campaign website has changed since 2020, adding and removing stuff until becoming half of what it was two and a half years ago.

I have the weirdest issue.
My Chrome browser is showing me the background of a particular website (and not others) light grey, although is white: it's not grey for anyone else, is white for my on Firefox and others.
I have no idea how to solve this.
Any clues?
The Post is sending me some less-than-subliminal messages from the homepage.
