I ride my bicycles, eat biscuits, read books, play trombone and spend time with my beautiful family. And I live in Sydney. What could be better?

Found a friend when brushing cobwebs out from underneath the outdoor seating in the neck yard.
Went for a ride this morning, haven't been through North Sydney for a while and look! They are finally building the Harbour Bridge bicycle ramp! Incredible! Soon we won't have to carry bikes up and down the stairs any more!
Hail in Sydney...
Had a very successful morning fixing a couple of LED downlights in my kitchen that started flashing when you turned them on. They don't make this type of fixture any more (it's 18V driven from a central transformer; they all seem to be 240 volt these days). So replacing them was going to be a right pain involving our landlord. But when i took one apart i realised there was lots of small LEDs in there, and i surmised that probably only one of them was the problem. So i hooked it up on the bench, figured out the dodgy one and soldered a bridge of wire over it. And now they work again!
Magpie sitting right outside my back door and singing away!
Did an outdoor concert today. Symphony Orchestra.
Heat was brutal. Viola would not stay in tune...
If you're at a loose end tomorrow, come and show support for the trans community, with rallies across Australia protesting the QLD government withdrawal of puberty blockers and hormone replacement therapy to new public health patients under the age of 18.

The little mandarin orange tree in my garden is absolutely smothered in beetles like this. Hundreds of them.
Are they good? Bad? Indifferent?

Not that I'm going to do anything about them; my gardening approach is very hands off. Just curious!

Oh dear. I've been fairly careful, and as far as I know this is the first time I have ever had COVID (although quite possibly I've had it and been asymptomatic.

I had my most recent vaccination about 3 months ago, so fingers crossed it's OK. Bit concerned about the long term effects though.

And I hope the family don't get it. I'm now masked and isolating from them...

Mrs Chillikebab also has a gig today, playing Xmas music for the masses. Including sing-along carols.

The first carol was 'O come all ye faithful,'.

Bold choice for the first one...
