Former Librarian, big video game fan! Favorite genres include RPGs, survival horror, cozies, sandbox/open-world, action-adventures, and sometimes FPS.

Also love film, cats, crafts, nature, responsible tech, and photography.

Big proponent for human rights for everyone. Living with chronic illness for most of my life, trying to be positive about it as much as I can.

Also on the Hachyderm server, but really wanted to meet fellow gamers!

Super Mario RPG remake?! I've really wanted to play it again and after so long it's finally happening. This looks really faithful to the original, too! Also looking forward to seeing what you all think of it!
Eons ago I asked you all whether to get Divinity: Original Sin 2 or Elden Ring. The results were fairly close so I ended up getting both. I can see why the results were neck and neck, they're both amazing! I bought and finished D:OS2 first (after finding out it had private co-op) and am now going through Elden Ring. I'm near the end and just love the open world. Can't wait to shift to Tears of the Kingdom afterwards.

While I was gone I played a lot of games but none charmed me as much as Chicory. Is anyone else a fan? It was absolutely incredible. It's basically an old school Legend of Zelda esque-like painting game that really gets you in the feels.

Chicory: A Colorful Tale

I began taking a SSRI for a GI health issue, which the doctor recommended because he believes my high anxiety was triggering flare ups of the disease. The medicine side effects hit me pretty hard, so the last few months I've been working on getting the right dose. It was a lot and led to me backing out of social experiences for awhile.

I'm doing better now though and am happy to rejoin you all!

Hi all, if anyone remembers me since I was relatively new, it's been several months since I've logged in and interacted in Mastodon. I had health issues that I was treating and wasn't in the best place to be social. I'm back now with lots of new games to talk about!

Happy #Caturday! Here's a photo of my cat from a few years back. I had broken out the Wii to play classic GameCube games and caught her sleeping next to the controller later on.

My partner and I have just begun watching Critical Role (we began with Campaign 2) and are interested in trying a TTRPG for the first time. We have decades of console and computer RPG experience between us and can follow the show pretty easily. For now it will just be the two of us due to my health making me not very dependable for a group.

We were thinking one of us would be the DM and the other controls a few party members. Does anyone have any advice for TTRPGs or scenarios for two people?

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy your living ship!
