Here’s the avocado tree we planted for my 2.5-year-old. There’s a pest/disease plaguing ’cado trees across the island, but she’s currently resurgent.

It was a nice little family ceremony, of time and place and body and intention. An important tree to the people who came here before us in honor of our little girl who comes from us.
